Yes BOPM will run quite happily on the same server as the IRCd - nearly 
all servers on the Blitzed IRC network run a local BOPM on the same box.

Please make sure that you download version 3.1.2 [current production 
version] as this fixes a bug with detecting SOCKS proxies.
