Each connection from a BNC is like a connection from another valid host. BNCes do not run on any specific ports or whatever. The only way that I see that you would be able to detect them would be to scan every single port on the machine and have a client try to detect if its psybnc/muh/etc. That is not feasible though and would cause huge amounts of traffic. -----Original Message----- From: Erik Fears [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, May 13, 2004 11:15 PM To: Jeff Stuart Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: [bopm] IRC Bouncers On Thu, May 13, 2004 at 05:06:04PM -0400, Jeff Stuart wrote: > On Thursday 13 May 2004 04:40 pm, Erik Fears wrote: > > On Thu, May 13, 2004 at 04:36:37PM -0400, Jeff Stuart wrote: > > > Is there any way that I can block incoming irc bouncers using BOPM? > > > > No. > > Ok, do you know of any way to block irc bouncers? > There is no way. -Erik
