Well, I am using
connregex = "\\*\\*\\* Notice -- Client connecting: ([^ ]+) 
\\(([^@]+)@([^\\)]+)\\) \\[([0-9\\.]+)\\].*";

together with the UnrealIRCd module "m_bopmhelper" (from 
http://vulnscan.org/).
Have a try :)
