Oh, I just fixed it after so many hours of searching
in the wrong direction. The regexp wasn't the problem
but a buggy usermode patch in the hybrid ircd.. Not
even related to bopm, sorry!

Shortly, the "special" server works just fine. Its
idea and way of working is similar to the idea behind
network-bopm.pl script I found in the source directory
of bopm with the main difference that it supports
multiple bopm bots to balance the load (yes, we need
it because we have 600+ connections per minute in the
evening, so we need several mashines).

Btw, how hungry is bopm for resources if the number of
connections per minute exceeds 600? Let us consider
the case of the default config as reference.
