Lookup error on ...: Unknown error / DNS checked

Dear BOPM list,

recently I started receiving "Lookup error on ...opm.blitzed.org:
Unknown error" error messages from my BOPM.
I read in the FAQ that this was often caused by incorrect or
not-responding DNS, however, I checked all my nameserver entries in
/etc/resolv.conf file and could not determine anything unusual.
As such I've come here to seek for help. Any such would be appreciated
very much.
Would anyone have suggestions as to what to check / how to debug this
problem?
