Maybe your ircd should have a numeric to say "I am not evil" and
bopm should read this and be happy, then.

Until that idea is made to work, it just looks for a string you tell
it to look for.

If that is a problem then set up a simple inetd service that echoes a
unique string and have all your BOPMs connect to that.  This is
mentioned in the docs somewhere.
