I am wondering if the default hybrid syntax is to be use with irc2 
ircd's.

The current version of our ircd is a modified version of the irc2 ircd 
but does not contain modifications that affect the Connection part of 
the orginal.. after starting the BOPM.. it appears to work in the aspect 
of connectiong, gaining oper status.. joining channel, etc.. however no 
connection notices or seen or scanning intiated. Any suggestions are 
appreciated.
