Irssi 0.8.5 segfault on RedHat 8.0

Greetings,

Just installed RedHat 8.0 to give it a look, and as I didn't find irssi with
its packages, I've download the irssi 0.8.5 tarball.

Configuration was ok, compilation too.

But after installing irssi, and trying to launch it, it segfault just after
clearing the screen -makes me wonder if the problem wouldn't be in ncurses?-

Is this a known issue ?

Should I try the current CVS code ?

Thanks for any hint.
