Yup, and that's how it works, too. In my Irssi, at least; just tested
it. Created a query with a person, switched to some other window and
typed '/window goto <nick>' and Irssi goes straight to that query
window.

Works fine. I'd suggest upgrading to the most recent CVS version, and
try if it works, because I don't have any idea whatsoever why this
feature doesn't work in your Irssi. I'd remember reading from some
FAQ, that "Before you complaing about a bug, try upgrading to the
most recent version", or something to that matter. :-)

So, fetch the the CVS sources and compile yourself a brand new Irssi
and let us know if it's still not functioning. Weird problem, because
it works fine here. OTOH, I haven't even used '/window' very much,
as I've bound all the windows I need to M-<number>. Anyway, try the
newest sources and see if it starts to work. Otherwise, I have no
ideas nor any clue why this is so. Good luck!
