possible problem with chanmode +w

hey *!*@*, 

looks like irssi is having some problems with chanmode +w.
i.e.: i set 
/mode #fuq +w test 
(that is adding a bad word in euircnet) irssi does this: 
13:41:44 -!- #fuq r You need more privileges to change this mode.
which doesnt equal +w at all ;)

just wanted to report that - sorry if already posted or etc.
