I've had a problem compiling irssi 0.8.12 under cygwin. "./configure --with-ssl" finished just fine, but "make" exits with the following error: /usr/bin/perl.exe /usr/lib/perl5/5.8/ExtUtils/xsubpp -typemap /usr/lib/perl5/5. 8/ExtUtils/typemap -typemap typemap Channel.xs > Channel.xsc && mv Channel.xsc Channel.c Can't find typemap in /usr/opt/irssi-0.8.12/src/perl/common make[4]: *** [Channel.c] Error 255 make[4]: Leaving directory `/usr/opt/irssi-0.8.12/src/perl/common' make[4]: Entering directory `/usr/opt/irssi-0.8.12/src/perl/common' /usr/bin/perl.exe /usr/lib/perl5/5.8/ExtUtils/xsubpp -typemap /usr/lib/perl5/5. 8/ExtUtils/typemap -typemap typemap Channel.xs > Channel.xsc && mv Channel.xsc Channel.c Can't find typemap in /usr/opt/irssi-0.8.12/src/perl/common make[4]: *** [Channel.c] Error 255 make[4]: Leaving directory `/usr/opt/irssi-0.8.12/src/perl/common' /bin/sh: line 1: cd: irc: No such file or directory /bin/sh: line 1: cd: ui: No such file or directory /bin/sh: line 1: cd: textui: No such file or directory make[3]: *** [all-local] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/opt/irssi-0.8.12/src/perl' make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/opt/irssi-0.8.12/src' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/opt/irssi-0.8.12' make: *** [all] Error 2 However, there is, in fact, a typemap in /usr/opt/irssi-0.8.12/src/perl/common. any suggestions? -Matthew Stickney -- On the gentleman's book of etiquette: "Ah yes, the steampunk way: Be completely orderly in your stature, it distracts your victims while you discreetly place a clockwork bomb in their airship.
