Yeah, I guess you could say "once one's IRC client joins to a channel" as
opposed to "once one joins a channel". But to me, "joining to a channel" is
as silly a concept as "becoming under a channel". Both gramatically valid,
but failing to model how one should think of a channel, and the
relationship between it and its users.
