It's the version that is delived by default by this debian
distribution.  According to "dpkg" it's 1.4.3-3.4.


But I'm now trying to compile the latest version from source (which does
take quite some time on a box like this. :-) ).

Yep. It now works.

Hmm. Interesting tool. I didn't know that one. :-)

After doing some trouble-shooting with that tool, I didn't find anything
wrong; so -in the end- I tried it with another jabber-client (kopete
instead of psi) and that does seams to work.

I'll give it another try with the 1.6 version of the server (once/if I
get it compiled).
