Hi, I have installed jabberd14 version 1.6.1.1 but I can't get it to work properly. It tells me jabberd is unable to listen on port 5222 and 5269. I did check if jabberd or any other application is running on the same ports but nothing is bound to them. Severy google entries suggested to bind it to the IP but that doesn't work too. There error just includes the IP address as well: jabberd14[12777]: [alert] (-internal): mio unable to listen on 5222 [192.168.0.36]: jabberd already running or invalid interface? jabberd14[12777]: [alert] (-internal): mio unable to listen on 5269 [192.168.0.36]: jabberd already running or invalid interface? I also read it could have to do with IPv6 support so I tried to disable that by comiling it from source. But even when I use "./configure --disable-ipv6 -- enable-ipv6=no" in all it's combinations configure still spits out "checking if IPv6 is requested... enabled" which tells me it is still enabled. My system has no IPv6 support so I'd rather not recompile everything with IPv6 support. Is there anything else I can do or try? Any suggestions are welcome.
