Openfire and Mu-Conference

I recently installed Openfire to evaluate it as our next possible Jabber platform.  I noticed that the Group Chat implementation does not have some of the features that I liked with Mu-Conference.  Is it possible to run Mu-Conference as an external component in Openfire instead of the default Group Chat service?
