Hi all,

"worldipv6day" is not supposed to be "a day when everything changes".
It's goal is:
- get in the press: promote political awareness
- get an idea of how many people are now already on a ipv6 enabled network
- run a worldwide test on what happens if everybody would switch to ipv6
(like get some real data on how many people still have broken ipv6
connection -mainly due to usually very old OSsen behind 6to4 tunnels-)
- gain some experience on how to troubleshoot ipv6 problems: "OK, we get
a call from users saying the access to an ipv6 enabled website is slow,
how do you go about troubleshooting this?").

It is forseen that quite some organisation might simply leave their
AAAA-record on after ipv6day -if all goes well- but even if that is not
the case, it's not a lost effort.
A question technical people quite often get from their management is
"can you prove it will not impact our daily business?" If worldipv6 days
goes well, they can use this as an argument to say "yes, we can prove it".

BTW. I'm also running ipv6 dualstack on my jabber-server at home (over a
HE-tunnel and a openWRT router), but as I am to only user on it, the
impact is not that large neither neither. :-)

But it will be good to be able to do a "end-to-end" test between two
ipv6 enabled jabber-servers.
(Also interesting is the combination with a jingle-based voip client:
xmmp for voip signaling over ipv6, voip RTP over ipv4.).
