Yes. That is true. The problem is it fails to communicate, even over
IPv4, with other servers which have IPv6 address set for their primary
SRV record.

Yes. I can confirm Ipv6 connections s2s with:

[18:20] tigase.me: Tigase/5.1.0-b2671 (Linux-amd64-2.6.34.6-xxxx-std-ipv6-64, Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM-19.1-b02-Sun Microsystems Inc.)
[18:22] jabber.xs4all.nl: Openfire/3.6.4 (Java 1.6.0_12)
[18:24] deepdarc.com: Openfire/3.6.4 (Java 1.5.0_26)

I found those connecting over IPv6 to my server (jajcus.net)
