translation for plugins!

Hello and thanks in advance,

I used the gnugettext library to translate the files of a plugin for
Exodus Project and I could generate the corresponding .po and .mo files.
After that I place them in the "plugins" folder of my exodus instalation
in a "locale\##\LC_MESSAGES\" subdirectory path, but the translation
doesn't work.

What should I do?
