    Hi, everybody:

Keith, let's see if this can help.

The "best" (meaning easyest) method is to do an automatic uninstall,
followed by a manual removal of yor exodus.xml file. It's located in the
Exodus folder under your "Application Data" folder (type "echo
%APPDATA%" on a command prompt to find out where it is).

If this doesn't work for you, it's time for the "hard" (meaning tedious)
method. First make sure you aren't running Exodus (right click on it's
icon in the tray icon and make sure you exit it). Now open the
"Registry editor" (REGEDIT.EXE), and get ready for some search and
delete routines.

Scroll down to "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID" and locate and delete the
following keys (you may not find all of them since some are related to
the plugins that you may or may not have installed):

Locate and delete the "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\XMPPfile" key.

Scroll down to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents\EventLabels"  and locate and
delete the following keys:

EXODUS_notify_autoresponse
EXODUS_notify_chatactivity
EXODUS_notify_invite
EXODUS_notify_keyword
EXODUS_notify_newchat
EXODUS_notify_normalmsg
EXODUS_notify_offline
EXODUS_notify_online
EXODUS_notify_oob
EXODUS_notify_roomactivity
EXODUS_notify_s10n

Locate and delete the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents\Schemes\Apps\Exodus"
key.

Locate and delete the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Jabber\Exodus" key.
(while at this key you might want to take note of the content of the two
entries on the rigt panel "Install_Dir" and "prefs_file" since they have
the location of some files you will need to delete later).

Locate the key
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" and
delete the "Exodus" key on the right panel (it might not be there if you
haven't instructed Exodus to start automatically when Windows starts).

Locate and delete the
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\
Exodus" key.

You can now close the "Registry editor" and start the "Windows Explorer"
(EXPLORER.EXE).

Navigate down your path to the location where you installed Exodus (if
you're not sure where it was, it was a good thing you took note of the
above mentioned "Install_Dir" key right?) and delete the folder and all
it's subfolders and files.

Now navigate to your "Application Data" folder (once again you can find
out what it it by issuing "echo %APPDATA%" on a command line or use the
path in the above mentioned "prefs_file" key) and delete the "Exodus"
folder.

Finally click on your Start menu and locate and delete Exodus Program
shortcuts by right clicking on the Exodus folder and selecting delete.

That's all. I may have missed or not a registry key, but this about
wraps a manual uninstall of the program.
