Well I don't think he's manually setting his presence to 'available' but
let's say that he is. 

How do you say, "reset", the timers? For example, what if someone is busy
and sets their presence to 'do not disturb' and then when they're done they
switch back to 'available'.  Does that mean that auto away will never kick
in just because they used 'do not disturb'? 

Does Exodus require you to exit in order to reset that?

If the user is manually setting their presence to 'away', then they have to
manually change it back again. Automatically going to available is only when
you are set to away by the timers that are used. IE, if you set your
presence via a menu item, thats not auto-away :)
