This really depends on the server. Typically, servers do "pings" to a client every few minutes.. so hopefully the other person will get unavailable presence in that time frame. If a server is NOT sending pings to the clients connected to it... this could take up to 10-15 minutes AFTER the server tries to send them a message (due to the TCP/IP timeout periods). pgm.
