Exodus 100% CPU on Windows XP

Hi;

I recently installed Exodus and am experiencing a strange behavior.

If my workstation is idle for a long time (3+ hours) and if someone sends me
a message during the time when I come back I see Exodus open task in the XP
tray highlighted but clicking it will not open the chat window.  In every
instance the task manager shows 100% CPU consumption by Exodus and naturally
none of my other applications work until I END TASK Exodus.

I am running 0.9.1.1.

I have searched all over the place trying to find a fix but can not find
anything.  Just found out about this list and hopefully someone else has
found a solution.

Also-- does anyone know of any other client that allows secure communication
with JabberD server?  We do not mind paying for it if something is secure.
Every single client that I have tested has a problem.
