Emoticons in Exodus really puts a
load on Windows ME and 98. In our company, we found that loading both
default emoticon DLL's used up 20-25% of the GDI resources available to
Windows 98 and ME. If you dont load the emoticons, you are looking at
somewhere between 5 and 10% of the resources. My personal advice to
you is get used to it if you want a stable system.
If you really want them...What are your options set in the tools,
options, emoticons? Is the box checked to Auto Detect Emoticons in
messages? Also, do you have teh msn and yahoo dll files listed in the
white box? Have you tried clicking on the "defaults" button to restore
them back to the defaults?

Maybe someone here could offer a little help?
Ever since I upgraded to version 0.9.0, I have had no emoticons. If I right-
click in the outgoing text area, the little box is completely empty. If I type
";-)" for instance, that's what I get. Same for someone sending a smiley to
me, I get the text...
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times and have gone through
a couple of upgrades since the problem showed up. Nothing has fixed it
yet. And it did used to work previous to the 0.9 versions...
I'm running on win ME (sorry)...
Any suggestions would be very appreciated...
