Html logger not enabled by default

I have been having a mysterious problem with a branded version of exodus.

After I compile the installer with Nsis, the default html logger is not
enabled until I go into preferences and enable it.  This gives me an error
dialog every time I open exodus until I enable it.  Is there a way to enable
it upon installation? Seems like something simple.
