When you're using SSL, you'll see a padlock in the lower-right-hand-side of the contact list. (It is to the right of where your current status is displayed.) This is from an inhouse jabberd2 server. Any ideas why this would be? Also, I don't know how to confirm if I am using an SSL connection or not.
