how to remote and voice chat with windows

Hi there,

I have Ethernet Lan of a few windows desktops, and want to share that
desktops, and voice chat with single Linux workstation one at a time.
this Linux workstation used also as data backup archive for windows 2003
based
server.
I want to control the win desktops from Linux not the reverse.
what is the suitable distro and application??
is it possible to use jabber for voice chat on ethernet without internet 
connection?
