Not seeing user of one other server

Hello,

I use the Google Apps for Business Jabber server, domain is xgm.de. A
couple of my friends use my universities jabber service at mytum.de.
Since a week or two there is a communication problem between these
two. Users appear always as offline, authorization request don't get
through...

Before I will contact the admin of either or both, is there any
information I can provide them, some obvious misconfiguration?
