GMX - "Remote server not found".

Hello,

for some time now i've been seeing the error message:
  "<user>@gmx.net
   Presence Error: Remote server not found.
   A remote server or service specified as part or all of the JID
   of the intended recipient does not exist."

for my contacts with a user at GMX. Is this a known issue or does
anyone have an idea why this is happening?
