The new machine we're working to get installed *should* help.

BTW, if you are truly using IM to communicate with work colleagues,
why not run your own jabber server for company use? It's quite easy to
set up a server using open-source code such as ejabberd, Mongoose,
Prosody, or Tigase. There's a full list here:

IMHO, only by running your own server will you have control over the
