Ok, so I eventually swallowed my pride and opened a FB account and
installed Gajim (Netbsd).

I know this is not Gajim support list but maybe you can help me.

1) I've logged in to chat.facebook.com and marked myself as
"available". Will my contact see me as available (the end user
probably has an Android facebook app).

2) I've manually addedd a contact into my address list, but after
logging out and logging in again, it has disappeared.

Any help appreciated.
