archive file in/var/spool/news/interesting.groups/<redfile>

Even after removing the 0 byte file, and then using touch to recreate it, 
it still shows as an archive file.  The permissions and ownership are 
correct.

In Ubuntu, using gnome-terminal and "ls" it shows as red, which, 
apparently, indicates an archive(?).

Again, the permission and ownership are correct:

-rw-rw-r--  1 news news    0 Mar  9 04:59 mozilla.support.firefox


only the color is red...



can this indicate a problem?
