Colour prompts mangled with vers. 3.5.10

Hello,

the lftp colour prompt latest version of lftp (2.5.10), and at least one
earlier version is mangled, both in text mode as well as in graphics
mode.  Unfortunately, a cut-and-paste cannot work to demonstrate this.

In my rc file:

set prompt
"\[\e[1;31m\][\[\e[0;32m\]f\[\e[1;35m\]t\[\e[33m\]p\[\e[31m\]]\[\e[34m\]\u\[\e[0;34m\]\@\[\e[1m\]\h\[\e[1;30m\]:\[\e[1;34m\]\w\[\e[1;30m\]>\[\e[0m\] "
