Transfer files in lowercase

Hello,

I guess the title already says it all.
I am looking for a way to make lftp transfer all the files with
"mirror" in lowercase, since different cases are just annoying and
only causing trouble for me.
Is there maybe a "secret" option somewhere, or is there any way to patch it in?

I would really appreciate any help :)
