You can try the latest development snapshot from

I think you can use

    CXXFLAGS=-Os CFLAGS=-Os ./configure --with-modules --without-openssl --without-gnutls

then remove unneeded modules from /usr/lib/lftp/4.6.5.90 to save some space.
