Re: Large file (>2GB) support in librsync

G'day Alec,

I saw rdiff-backup in the orphaned packages on Debian Weekly News, and am
glad you've picked it up.

There have been a few "large file" bugs with librsync, but AFAIK, they are
all fixed in the SF CVS. Please check the bug reports on SF and check if
none match what you are seeing.

Note that the SF bug reports are not closed until they are fixed in a
released version of librsync. The are marked as fixed when they are fixed in
CVS.

We should probably do a release of librsync with the fixes, but I dunno when
I'll get time to do this. If you want to help, I can add you to the SF
developers and you can do the release yourself... I can help if you have any
questions.

Note that the SF CVS has a "debian" directory in there. This directory is
not included in the "release" tarballs. the debian directory is supposed to
match what the debian source has, but it might be out of date. You are
welcome to use the SF CVS for your debian work if you want to.
