However, to answer your question... the GUI is a plugin, so you will need to set a breakpoint after Licq loads the plugins and before the code you want to debug starts. So, putting a break point on CLicq::StartPlugin will allow you to enter breakpoints for the plugin. Then just continue until you hit the next breakpoint. You may also be able to tell gdb to break on a function that isn't available yet either, but I haven't tried that yet.
