I guess someone else will have to debug this. :) I get what Simon describes too, lots of different MSN proto errors.. I even happens that you get messages from two contacts get mixed together. BTW, if one contact sends you X messages while you're away (MSN, still), you'll have to open/close the message dialog X times to get all messages (as you see only one each time).
