More info -- I got this in my network log:

08:09:52: [MSN] Connecting to SB at XXX:YYY.
08:09:52: [MSN] Unhandled command (CAL).
08:09:53: [MSN] XXX@XXX joined the conversation.

I didn't even have a conversation with that nick. And roughly 10 minutes 
later, I get a XXX is leaving message, in network log and current chat 
window.
