awayscript --> probelm with icq 5.1 client

I wrote a little bashscript, which lists in a .log-file when my away
message is read and prints out a small dialog.
It's working fine, but icq 5.1 shows awaymessages in their normal
messagewindow. So it grabs my awaymessage during a conversation
several times a minute. This is annoying.

Has anybody an idea for a solution?
