If it's just a keyboard shortcut, there already is a configurable hot 
key in the gui. Currently it will just show the main window, but I could 
modify it to hide the window if it's already active, just like the dock 
icon does.
Or is there a specific reason you want to use the fifo instead of having 
the shortcut directly in the gui?
