Follow-up Comment #3:

MLdonkey does not support removable devices for sharing after
they have been removed. I tested this with an external CD drive:

2007/09/01 18:00:35 error mkdir failed on h:: No such file or directory for
directory h:

This is the last log message, h: is the CD drive, now turned off
after sharing some files from it. All directories present in
downloads.ini option shared_directories must be present, if
not they are re-created. This fails of course on MinGW, you can
not create a directory x:, on Linux the directory where a
removable device was mounted, is still present, but empty.

This is a won´t fix, the only solution would be to remove all
non-existing dirs from shared_directories, but this would
change MLDonkeys default behaviour of creating shared dirs.
