mrtg and mrtg.pid

Hello,

The mrtg "RunAsDaemon" option is a nice feature, but I have got a question
concerning the pid file, that is generated when using this option :
When starting in daemon mode under Linux, mrtg creates the /etc/mrtg.pid
file ; is there
a reason for this file to be in /etc ? Would'nt it be better, at least under
Linux, to place this
file in /var/lock and could this be done in a next release ?
