mpich-gm/gm compatibility

Hello,

- First question -
------------------
I was wondering if anyone has done testing anyone
can verify that jobs compiled with MPICHVERSION and 
LOADEDGMVERSION WILLRUN:

MPICHVERSION	LOADEDGMVERSION	WILLRUN?
------------    ---------------	--------
mpich-gm.1.1.12	gm-1.2.3
mpich-gm.1.1.12	gm-1.4XXX
mpich-gm.1.2.3	gm-1.4XXX

We've done some successful preliminary testing 
on the first and last case.  Basically looking to
verify that at some mpich and gm rev level: 
	a job compiled with an early mpich-gm version will 
	run with a later version of the gm module loaded.

- Second question -
-------------------
Say you do the following:
	1) load different (newer) gm version across 
		part of a cluster partition
	2) map myrinet network from previous release

The mapping seems to run successfully and propogate the
routes to all nodes, but how does this affect mpich-gm 
jobs now, knowing:
	1) jobs will run on nodes with the same 
		gm version loaded?
	2) jobs are compiled with the previous mpich-gm
