It is too bad that the benchmarks shown for Myrinet use the
TCP/IP interface rather than MPICH-over-GM. The measurements
are essentially of the TCP/IP stack and not the underlying
transport. For TCP/IP you also need to know things like the
size of the rx/tx window.

Also, it is not stated if the Gigabit ethernet used Jumbo
(9000 byte) frames; if so, one would expect a jump in
throughput for message size > 1500 (compared to 100baseT).
