I didn't use GM and clustertools/LSF on SMP cluster myself.
But there is a limitation of the number of mpi processes that
can be run on a single node with clustertools, which is the
available GM ports on that node. The rationale comes from the
fact that, a mpi process exclusively use one GM port. When all
available GM ports being used, you may see no GM port could be
open msg. This also happens if you launch more processes than
the available GM ports on a single node.
