If you compile MPICH-GM 1.2.1..7 with romio, you are going to run into problems at runtime, even if it compiles. We found very recently why and how, and it will be in the "cocktail" patch I am trying to compose (shared memory flow control patch from Oleg, 64 bits alignement from Oleg, libmpich.a corruption by romio, delayed send FIFO overflow).
