GM does not support broad/multicast from the user-level.
We do support it for IP-over-myrinet by having the
LANai send a message to every possible destination
in its routing table.

Performance. The L7 (and soon L9) are much faster than the L4.
The L7 (PCI64) cards have a better byte-addressable DMA engine
with real checksum hardware. The PCI64 cards are also capable
of doing 64bit/66mhz PCI transfers if the host system supports
it.
