RE: gmID conflicts on static mapping

Leonardo,

Yes, the procedure you describe should resolve the
ID conflicts.

Re-reading your original mail - killing the mapper
should not result in a seg fault.
If you see that again, we should look at that more 
closely. Feel free to send mail to [email protected]
if you have any further problems.
