customize mcp

Hi,

I am currently in an effort trying to make my own mcp which is 
supposed to add collective communication support in the myri NIC to 
run in a linux cluster backboned by myrinet lanai 9 and myrinet 2000 
switch, the tutorial written by James Otto is not workable simply it 
doesn't support lanai version higher than 7, and myricom online FAQ says 
something discouraging people to program mcp and drivers, I was looking at 
the gm source, while the documentation in the code provides obscure and 
little help. I was wondering is there any handy tutorial or source code 
which work in lanai 9 and easy to follow, otherwise I have to put 
fairly significent effort in reverse engineering the gm source code to 
figure out how to do it. Anyone could possibly give me a hand?
