Hi,
i just have installed the new SLES9 Beta 3.5 on a JS20 system. I have
configured and compiled the 2.6.5 kernel to have a correct linux source
tree and then build the gm 2.1.1 driver. I installed the gm package and can
start it with /etc/init.d/gm start.
Here is the output of the start command:
Apr 27 10:07:05 seoul kernel: gm: module license 'Myricom' taints kernel.

I can even see the board with gm_board_info and get the following output:
seoul:/tmp/BUILD_ROOT/binary # /opt/gm/bin/gm_board_info
GM build ID is "2.1.1_Linux_rc20040402140653PST

This node is "seoul"
Board has room for 16 ports, 511 nodes/routes, 8192 cache entries
Port token cnt: send=61, recv=254
Port: Status PID
0: BUSY 12088 (this process [gm_board_info])
Route table for this node follows:
gmID MAC Address gmName Route
---- ----------------- --------------------------------

1 00:60:dd:49:46:1d seoul [0] (this node)
But then the program just stops. I guess that it blocks somewhere in the
kernel, because if i do a "ps", it also seems to block in the kernel. So i
also cannot try to kill the process and CTRL-C doesn't work.
My guess would be some problem with the 2.6.5 kernel. Can anyone help?
